Qld Dressage Championships
The State and National Dressage Championships have been and gone and Jenny has never had a more successful end to the year than she has this year.
Unfortunately Magma continued on her run of bad luck and was unable to compete at the end of year shows. Gitane was fit and well though and although her preparation wasn't ideal and the weather was terribly wet, she came away from the State Championships as the Qld Medium Champion and the Qld Advanced Champion!.
Jayden also had a great show winning the Small Tour Champion on Widello. Jayden also cemented his selection to compete at the Young Rider World Cup Final in Frankfurt in December!
National Dressage Championships
Just one week after the State titles we headed down to Sydney for the National Championships. Gitane was extraordinarily well behaved though all kinds of weather and circumstances and came away with Reserve Medium Champion and Third in the Advanced Championship.
Kate Wilson and the lovely Dallas also did well with a third placing in the novice 2.4
Jayden and Widello sat this one out as we didn't think the trip to Sydney closely followed by the trip to Germany would be the best thing for the horse.
Leonie Bramall Clinic
This clinic was a huge success. Leonie is just amazing and every horse and rider came away much improved from her lessons. We are so lucky to have had Leonie come out and the really exciting news is that she is going to come back early next year!
Christoph Hess Clinic
World renowned Dressage Judge, trainer and rider Christoph Hess has just been to Qld as part of his Australia wide tour. Jenny participated in the clinic on both Gitane and Femme Sateen. Christoph was full of praise for Jenny and her training methods. His coaching was very positive and sympathetic. Although the weather was very hot and humid it was a very enjoyable and beneficial few days.
